On Monday, 21 October 2024, Fr. General spent the entire morning at St. Vincent’s Home in Maggona. The day began with Mass celebrated with the community, followed by a delightful breakfast. Fr. General then engaged in a community meeting before embarking on a tour of the SVH premises.
His first stop was the Mazenod Youth Centre. He later visited the Elders’ Home, the Technical College, Susithidaya, and the Luxury Residence for Elders. During these visits, he also participated in tree planting, contributing three plants at SVH, which brought his total to eight trees planted in the Colombo Province.
Fr. General also visited Calvary and took time to meet and bless the clerical, technical, and domestic staff members of SVH. His visit concluded at the Candle Workshop, where he even made a few candles himself. His day at SVH wrapped up with lunch before his departure.
