Our Logo: A Symbol of Care and Hope
The logo of St. Vincent’s Home is a visual representation of our commitment to the children, the youth and the vulnerable adults under our care.
The Protective Hand:
The large, cupped hand cradling the child is the central symbol of protection, security, and selfless care. It represents the dedicated staff, the administration (Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate – OMI), and the benefactors who act as guardians, providing a safe haven from the world’s hardships. It is also a reminder of the Biblical verse “See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.” — Isaiah 49:16
The Sleeping Child:
Although our ministry today is multifaceted, the primary mission of St. Vincent’s home is to uplift the lives of the vulnerable children under our care. The child, sleeping peacefully and securely nestled in the hand, signifies innocence, vulnerability, and trust. This peace reflects the security and comfort found within the Home.
The Holy Bible: The open book that serves as the foundation of the entire emblem is the Word of God (Scripture). It signifies that our service is based on the gospel values of faith, hope, and love and that the Home’s purpose is not just to feed and shelter, but to raise children according to those principles.
The Wreath of Leaves:
The branches extending upward symbolize peace, growth, prosperity, and success. They represent the positive outcomes that the Home strives for: enabling each child to flourish, achieve their potential, and lead a life marked by stability and fulfillment.
