St. Vincent's Home

Our Mission

Inspired by Christ's Gospel message, "Let the little children come to me, " St. Vincent's   -  Tacony tries to accept each child as Jesus did. In love and justice, the St. Vincent community recognizes the uniqueness of children as they come to us for acceptance, care and guidance. Rich in our tradition and diversity, our goals, and objectives are:

  • To provide a comprehensive range of services, including health, education, social, recreational, psychological and spiritual.
  • To create positive feelings of personal security, self worth and shared values.
  • To promote mutual respect among people of varying races, cultures and creeds.

In order to provide a firm basis for these undertakings, we will continue to rely on the expertise and direction of the St. Vincent Board of Managers and to benefit from the School Sisters of Notre Dame. We will seek to employ professional and dedicated religious and lay staff persons. We will also collaborate with the Catholic Social services as well as City licensing and contracting agencies.

In the footsteps of our patron St. Vincent de Paul, and our founder, St. John Neumann, and inspired by Board members and benefactors past and present, Dt. vincent's will continue to impact on social change, advocate for social justice and promote human dignity for those who serve and are served.
